Foreigners get extended stay in Belarus

According to the telegram channel of MIA spokeswoman Volha Chamadanava, the period of stay of foreigners in Belarus has been increased to a minimum of 90 days.

The Ministry of Interior says that due to the several states’ introduction of restrictive measures on the entry of foreign nationals to their territory, the period of stay of foreigners in Belarus will be extended “up to 90 days, and if necessary, beyond this period”.

The police explain that for this purpose a foreigner has to apply to the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Internal Affairs at the place of location (registration). It is also possible to apply for an exit visa at the Minsk National Airport. It is possible if, for example, a foreign guest learns about the cancellation of his flight immediately upon arrival at the airport.
