FM Makey discusses with Poland diversification of oil supplies


Minister of Foreign Affairs Uladzimir Makey has held talks in the format of a video conference with Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz and the Polish Government Commissioner for Energy Infrastructure Piotr Naimski, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports.

The heads of the foreign ministries exchanged views on the situation with the coronavirus and also touched upon the issues of trade transit and economy.

During the talks with Piotr Naimski, Uladzimir Makey discussed the issues of diversification of oil supplies to Belarus and possible cooperation of the parties in this sphere.

Earlier Piotr Naimski, the Polish government commissioner for strategic energy infrastructure, stated that Poland is interested in oil transit to Belarus through its territory. The commissioner said that if Belarus bought oil and it had to be delivered to the refinery, the Polish side would present its transit infrastructure.
