The national exit poll will be held on August 9. The Youth Social Research Laboratory will conduct the poll. According to Uladzimir Pyartsou, the representative of the TV channel “Mir” in Belarus, who has ordered the exit poll, today the country has a very high demand for high-quality sociology.

“There is a demand for objective sociological research. We are a little tired of the “fence-like” sociology. There should be civilized forms of research in our election process,” says Pyartsou.

The choice for objective sociological research fell on the Belarusian Committee of Youth Organizations, as this very organization has extensive experience in exit polls after the elections in Belarus. It is this organization that conducted exit polls after the elections in 2010 and 2015. In Pyartsou’s opinion, their results almost completely coincided with the voting.

Over 300 participants all over the country will be involved in the poll. The result will be released 20 minutes after the polling stations’ work is over.
