Every fifth Belarusian service station may close down

The profit tax introduced at the beginning of last year forces service stations to close down.

About 22% of Belarusian service stations may stop their operations. This is evidenced by the results of research arranged by a business forum ‘Profitable auto service’ that interviewed 984 of service station managers.

They explain this decision by the influence of profit tax valid from January 1, 2014. It affects the service stations with number of employees under 15 people.

Businessmen support the idea of such tax, but they believe that its implementation is ill-conceived.

However, 80% of the managers surveyed are willing to work on and to find new solutions for their service station.
