NAVI band to sing in Belarusian at Eurovision 2017

Belarusian band NAVI has won the national selection and will represent Belarus at the international TV contest “Eurovision-2017”.

The NAVI band with the song “Story of My Life” scored the most points by a vote of the jury. Based on the results of audience voting, they got the fifth place, with the “PROвокация” duet coming first. However, thanks to the jury chairman Valery Dayneka, the band gained advantage in the overall score.

NAVI was the only band that sang in Belarusian at the competition. Thanks to this, a song in Belarusian will be performed at the Eurovision in Kyiv for the first time in history.

Artists Kseniya Zhuk and Artsyom Lukyanenka were supported by many fans and well-known Belarusians. An athlete and one of the Brutto band members Vital Hurkou wrote about NAVI in his Instagram.

Naviband will play some of their hits and brand new songs that will be included in the next album on January 28 in the framework of Belsat Music Live Project. The show starts at 20:30.

Last year NAVI also tried to get into the “Eurovision” with the song called “This Land”, but only came 4th in the national competition.
