‘Dough and bimboes’. Lukashenka sorry for using slang

Alyaksandr Lukashenka has attempted to account for using rough language by the Belarusian leadership and him in particular.

A few days ago, a close-up of the state-run TV camera showed a piece of paper used by a participant of the meeting with Lukashenka to take notes.

“Low on dough, no mercs, bimboes in …” wrote an unknown participant of the meeting.

The video went viral and raised a storm of comments and memes on the Belarusian segment of Internet. Many wondered what the Belarusian officials were discussing if they had to resort to such strong words.

Later, it turned out that the sheet of paper belonged to ex-Deputy Prime Minister Uladzimir Drazhyn. The video is no longer available on Youtube.

According to the Belarusian leader, he was talking about wishes and dreams of Belarusian athletes.

“I just quoted them – ‘dough, Mercedeses and bimboes in the back seat’, that’s their favourite topic for discussion. Ladies, sorry for my repeating that. That is the mindset of our athletes. [But if they want money, they should] work – go run around with a stick or a ball, show some result!”

During the meeting, Alyaksandr Lukashenka promised to punish officials for the fact that talented Belarusian athletes go abroad, he also demanded that young athletes be forced to pay money for the right to leave.
