Speaking on ONT TV channel, the first Prime Minister of Belarus, Vyachaslau Kebich, has criticized democracy and opposition. He also supported the candidacy of Alyaksandr Lukashenka as the leader of the country.

Vyachaslau Kebich, who headed the Belarusian government in 1990-1994, said that democracy is “the worst thing one can think of”.

“It’s not for nothing that they say we need to move away from liberalism, as some liberal mentors, liberal leaders, they understand it this way: I do what I want, I say what I want,” said the former prime minister.

At the same time, according to him, there is no opposition in Belarus, but only “a group of screamers, who don’t even understand what they’re saying”. And there is no other candidate for president, except Lukashenka, he stressed.
