The blogger has served a 30-day arrest in Akrestsin Street. Today he was supposed to be released, but Palchys never left the jail.
He remains in custody, reports the telegram channel #MotolkoPomogi. According to the channel’s authors, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Palchys. No reason was stated.
Recently, a lawyer was not allowed to see the blogger due to “epidemiological situation”.
Eduard’s wife Viktoryia reported that the correspondence with her husband was blocked. The family did not receive a single letter from Eduard, who also did not receive any letters. Viktoryia called the blocking of mail and the non-admission of the lawyer as pressure on the whole family.
Eduard Palchys has not lived at his home in Lida since the moment he was sentenced to 15 days of arrest on June 15 for allegedly taking part in Syarhei Tsikhanouski’s rally. Eduard planned to leave the country, but did not come at the agreed time to the driver who was supposed to take him to the border. Victoryia Palchys wrote about his disappearance on September 29 on Facebook. She demanded that law enforcement officers urgently notify Eduard’s lawyer of his whereabouts. Eduard Palchys was later found jailed in Akrestsin Street.
