On Sunday, the Health Ministry has updated the information on the coronavirus situation in Belarus.
As of April 26, there have been 10,463 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Belarus. Over the past day, the ministry has recorded 843 new infections, which has become a new sad record since the beginning of the pandemic.
“For the entire period of the spread of the infection in the country, 72 patients who were previously tested positive for the coronavirus have died; they had chronic and co-existing illnesses,” the ministry said on Telegram.
1,695 patients have already recovered and been discharged. Nearly 148,000 tests for detecting the novel coronavirus have been conducted in Belarus, the statement reads.
