Controversial battery plant hiring staff for high wages

Despite the protests of the region’s residents, the construction of a battery plant has not been stopped. Moreover, the company 1AK-GROUP, which is the owner of the production, announced 20 vacancies.

The plant near Brest, which is planned to open at the end of 2018, is hiring staff for the following positions: an electronics engineer, a human resources manager, a chemical laboratory manager, an environmental engineer with a salary of 1,000 BYN. Also, the company needs a chief mechanic and power engineer with salary starting at 1,300 BYN, the head of the commercial department offered 2,000 BYN and more, and the seller-consultant, who is promised a wage of 500 BYN and up.

Earlier Belsat.eu wrote that the company “iPower” was looking for the head of the workshop with a salary of 495 BYN. After publication, the proposed salary suddenly rose by 1,000 BYN.

Already 40 thousand signatures have been collected against the construction of a battery plant. Opponents of the plant regularly go out to protest at the Brest’s main square, but the authorities do not hear them and the construction of the plant continues.
