Contraband vehicles from Belarus daily reach DPR and LPR

The “Information Resistance” group reports that the trade of Belarusian companies with separatists continues: about 300 vehicles with Belarusian goods are unloaded daily in DPR and LPR.

The commercial enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, via transit through the Russian Federation, through the Izvarino, Dolzhansky and Chervonopartizansk checkpoints closed by Ukraine in 2014, carry out systematic smuggling of excisable food products, light industry products, etc., to the territory of LDPR. The total number of container carriers with Belarusian registration, which are unloaded at the central container section in Luhansk, is about 300 cars a day,” the IR reports.

As it became known from the investigation of “Belsat”, the products of dozens of Belarusian enterprises get to the separatists through the Russian-Ukrainian border, which is not controlled by official Kyiv. A number of enterprises do not even hide the fact that they conduct direct deliveries to Donetsk and Luhansk. Belarusian plants produce beer and vodka under the trademarks of companies from DPR, whose owners in Ukraine are suspected of financing terrorism.

In August, Ukraine’s Ambassador Igor Kizim promised that if the Belsat investigation was confirmed, Belarusian companies would be blacklisted and would not be able to supply their products to Ukraine.

The Belarusian authorities have not provided any comment on the trade situation with LDPR.
