'Complicated situation'. Russia to prolong state loan granted to Belarus – PM Medvedev

Russia will prolong the state loan granted to Belarus, state-owned news agency BelTA reported on Thursday with a reference to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The top official promised that Russia would lend a helping hand to our country in such ‘complicated situation’.

“There is another financial matter. It concerns the state financial loan for the Republic of Belarus. We have agreed that we will help them in this complicated situation. In essence we will prolong the existing lending commitments,” Medvedev said.

“We have been helping our partners and will continue doing so in the future,” he added.
