BSU strike coordinators Svyatlana Volchak and her husband sentenced

The BSU strike coordinator Svyatlana Volchak and her husband Mikhail have been detained and tried.

The detention took place on August 28 at about 19:30 in the village of Zastruzhye, Ivanavski district, Brest region, in their own private house, where they were doing repairs. However, the media received information only in the evening of August 29, reports BelaPAN.

Svyatlana Volchak was accused of participating in an unauthorized mass event (Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code). The court on August 31 in Ivanava in the Brest region sentenced her and her husband to 15 days of arrest.
