On Sunday, People’s Inauguration March was also held in Homiel, the second largest city in Belarus.
On the 50th day of the post-election protest, several hundred local residents tried to reach Lenin Square through Savetskaya Street. However, OMON riot police barred the peaceful protesters from further marching. To disperse the column, they teargased the participants, used flashbang grenades and fired in the air.

At least 20 people were detained in Homiel, human rights defenders reported on Sunday afternoon. One of the detainees managed to escape from the paddy wagon:
