Belarus friendship group in the Slovak parliamentwith includes a dozen politicians.
On September 13 the Belarusian ambassador in Bratislava Ihar Lyashchenya met with Chairman of the Constitutional Committee of the Parliament of Slovakia Robert Madej to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as the role of parliaments in boosting economic, trade and regional ties between the two countries.
Madejtold Belarusian diplomats that on 9 September a Belarus friendship group composed of 16 deputies was set up at the National Council of Slovakia.
According to the BelaPAN quoting the press release, the parties pointed out that the establishment of a separate parliament working group on Belarus is the real evidence of the interest of Slovak parliamentarians in developing cooperation with Belarusian colleagues.
What exactly the group will do is not reported.
