Bloggers Eduard Palchys, Mikalai Maslouski and MozgON sentenced


Bloggers Eduard Palchys, Mikalai Maslouski and Uladzimir Tsyhanovich (MozgON) has been punished with administrative arrest for participation in a picket near Kamarouski market on May 31, the human rights portal spring96.org reports.

Uladzimir Tsyhanovich (MozgON) was accused of participating in a picket near Kamarouski market on May 31. According to the witness, the blogger allegedly “shouted slogans, showed disrespect for the authorities,” as well as shouted “Long Live Belarus!” and “freedom to Tsikhanouski! As a result, the judge decided to punish the blogger with another 15 days of arrest.

This is the second administrative arrest in a row for Tsyhanovich: he was detained on June 9. Then the blogger was sent to 15 days of arrest, sentenced in absentia for a meeting near the building of Belneftekhim almost three months ago.

A similar punishment (15 days of arrest) was given to blogger Eduard Palchys in Kastrychnitski district court. The reason for prosecution was also a picket to collect signatures, held near Kamarouski market on May 31.

Palchys was not detained, for now he remains at large. He also said in his telegram channel called Palchys that another administrative case against him would be heard on Friday.
