Belsat TV story helped Alena Mikulich keep her children

Following the publication of story about officials intending to take Alena Mikulich’ children from her, the woman’s situation changed: the woman found a job as a cleaner in the housing department (regular work provides an opportunity for the mother of many children to receive targeted social aid from the state), she was promised help with the floor renovation and insulation of windows in the apartment, proposed a recreation for her eldest son. Ordinary citizens did not stay aside, either: Alena had 500 rubles for communal services transferred to her, which amounted to half the sum of the principal debt.

“I’m so happy right now, said Alena. – Immediately after the article, I started receiving phone calls: people, journalists, officials from the Executive Committee, MPs, asked me questions. Officials no longer shout at me, no longer threaten me, they are even politely talking to me now, they want to get me a job, instructed workers to repair my floor and insulate the windows, because it is very cold — I have single windows and the floor is full of holes. People transferred money to my phone, I withdrew it and repaid part of the debt. I am very grateful to the people for help, because being alone with the problems without support is very difficult. I am still a little worried, of course, but I think that nobody will take my children away.”

Alena’s daughter Katsya

On October 4, Juvenile Commission decided to take away the 4-year-old Katsya and 16-year-old Raman from Alena Mikulich through the utility debt and absence of regular work.

You can help Alena Mikulich by transferring money to the number +375259520213 (MTS) as the main debt for communal is still at 500 rubles.
