The Advisory Board decided to give the 2017 Scripteast Special Mention to the script “Solomon’s Mountain” by Nikolai Lavreniuk and Siarhei Kalasouski.
The script was based on the work ‘Similar to Sting’ written by playwright Iryna Pismennaya. The action takes place in 1996 in the Chernobyl zone, where an escaped prisoner and an elderly woman meet.

Eleven scripts of Central and Eastern European authors entered the contest.
