Spleen in Belarusian style: No choice over 20 years

Anonymous musicians who call themselves ‘underground Belarusian group NEXTA’ have made a cover of the song ‘No Way Out’ by the Russian band ‘Spleen’.

To tell about the Belarusian realities, they completely changed the text:

‘Twenty years have passed, but we have the same portrait on the wall

The same prison trucks are waiting for us,

For twenty years riot police have been batoning people,

But there has never been a hit back.

Our money is depreciating throughout these twenty years

There is no choice.’

“The song is dedicated to the Belarusian elections, which are traditionally held with numerous violations, which are always won by one and the same candidate for more than 20 years,” the musicians described their first release.
