Some days ago Internet users urged all indifferent Belarusians to meet writer Svetlana Alexievich, the country’s first Nobel laureate, at the airport and congratulate her on winning the prestigious prize.

“This is the first time in the history [of Belarus] when the Nobel laureate is being met in such a way, when the people are meeting,” the writer said making their way through the crowd.
