Specialists have cleaned the Belarusian section of the Surgut-Polatsk oil pipeline from dirty oil, Vasil Drobatau, director of Polatsktransneft Druzhba, told Belta.
According to him, now the Polatsktransneft Druzhba oil pipeline system has only Russian oil that meets the standards.
Thus, Belarus has fully completed the process of cleaning the main oil pipelines in its territory from the Russian oil polluted with organic chlorides.
On April 19, Belneftekhim reported on a sharp deterioration in the quality of the Russian oil coming through the “Druzhba” pipeline. The number of organochlorine compounds in the oil was many times higher than the limit.
Both Belarusian refineries – Mazyr and Naftan – then reduced capacity utilization and suffered losses, as well as damage to the pipeline system.
