Belarusian moonshine: Exhibition opened in Minsk


One stands a chance to get a glimpse of the history of homebrew manufacturing in the Museum of the History of Belarusian Cinema in Minsk.

Manufacturing moonshine is illegal in our country. But at the same time, it is an integral part of the cultural heritage of Belarusians. Exhibition “Volatile, Flammable, Clear: The History of Field and Fighting against It in Belarus” in the Museum of the History of Belarusian Cinema in Minsk.

There are the most striking examples of satire and agitation associated with the drink among the items on display, including anti-alcohol posters with lines written by famous Belarusian poet Ryhor Baradulin.

The exhibition will run until 18 May.
