Belarusian military to take part in CSTO drill in Kazakhstan


On October 1-5, Kazakhstan will host a special tactical exercise ‘Poisk-2018’of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

About 40 servicemen of Belarusian intelligence units that have already gone to Kazakhstan will take part in the drill, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Belarus reports.

The drill will also be attended by representatives of the intelligence units of the armed forces of the CSTO member states.

“During the exercise, command, control and reconnaissance activities will be practiced in the various combat conditions,” the press service of the military department said.

In early September, a large-scale military exercise was held in Belarus, involving 7,500 servicemen, 260 armored vehicles, about 30 airplanes and helicopters.
