Belarusian female sniper takes lead in Commonwealth Warrior competition


Hanna Kavaleuskaya, a contract corporal of the Belarusian army, won the sniper match which was part of the Commonwealth Warrior military prowess competition.

Lyudmila Gubareva, a junior sergeant of Kazakhstan’s contract service, took the second place; junior sergeant Liliya Dautova from Russia came third, the Belarusian Defense Ministry reports.

In men’s sniping, the first and second place were taken by soldiers from Kazakhstan. Belarusian contractor Artsyom Pushnych landed the third spot.

The match took place at the training ground of the 120th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the North-Western Operational Command.

The international competition Commonwealth Warrior has been held since 2009.
