Belarusian exports fall by quarter


In the first 11 months of last year, Belarusian enterprises earned $24.6 billion on exports.

The National Statistical Committee issued a report with the Belarusian foreign trade figures from January to November last year.

According to it, the exports amounted to 73.1% compared to the same period in 2014. Imports also fell to 74.1%. Consequently, both exports and imports in the first 11 months of last year, compared with the same period the year before, were reduced by a quarter.

In total, in January-November 2015, the Belarusian enterprises sold the goods abroad for $24.58 billion. Imports amounted to $27.4 billion.

Exports of machinery, equipment and vehicles, as well as textile products fell by about one-third, of the food industry – by almost a quarter.
