Belarusian Court decides on Azarenka's son custody


A Minsk court has ruled that Victoria Azarenka is the primary caregiver of her one-year-old son Leo. A court in California has confirmed that this decision is also effective in the United States.

According to the decision, the child must remain with his mother and can see his father in the manner specified by the court. Belarus was called the main place of Leo’s residence.

According sport.tut.by and its source, Belarusian court reviewed all the contested issues in the custody case before the documents were transferred to a US court. It also considered the participation of both parents in the child’s upbringing.

Representatives of Billy Mckeague tried to appeal the Minsk city court decision, but their cassational appeal was rejected. Azarenka’s ex-boyfriend has three weeks to appel the court decision.

The former World No. 1 in tennis is planning to return to her homeland as soon as possible. According to the TMZ Sports, Azarenka wants Leo’s father to take part in the life of her son and hopes to smooth things out with him.

Because of the court trials, the tennis player missed the Australian Open, US Open, as well as several important tournaments.
