Belarusian citizen who fought for separatists killed in Donbas

Raman Byazrukau, who fought for the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, died in eastern Ukraine.

The resident of the city of Homiel was killed as far back as March 30, Ukrainian website Myrotvorets (Peacemaker) reports. He had the callsign ‘Belarusian’.

Raman Byazrukau was born on February 3, 1998; he was an orphan. The man repeatedly posted photos of himself carrying arms and wearing military uniform.

As Belsat journalistic investigations show, Belarusian citizens constitute the third largest national group in the hostilities in Donbas. According to the most conservative estimates, the total number of Belarusian participants in the conflict reaches 1,000.

Last year, 13 criminal cases were opened against Belarusians suspected of mercenarism, police colonel and Interior Ministry’s representative Mikalai Karpyankou said in March, 2019.
