Belarus to release stamps dedicated to integration with Russia

On December 6, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization will issue a souvenir sheet on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the treaty on the creation of a Union State of Russia and Belarus, Belposhta (Belarusian Post) reports.

The sheets feature the emblems of Belarus and Russia and the inscription ‘the 20th anniversary of the signing of the treaty establishing the Union State’. The stamp layout was designed by Alena Myadzvedz.

The miniature sheet was printed in Babruysk in an edition of 20,000 copies.

As reported earlier, Vladimir Putin and Alyaksandr Lukashenka are expected to have talks on December, 7 in Sochi. Moreover, the meeting of Belarusian Prime Minister Syarhei Rumas and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev is to take place a day earlier. The two events are about to take place in the run-up to the much-talked-about signing a new agreement on deepening Belarus-Russia integration which was announced to happen by December, 8.
