Belarus rises in global Internet ranking

Belarus has risen to 57th place among 207 countries in the Internet speed rating, the study by Cable.co.uk claims. A year ago, our country was 66th among 200 countries.

In terms of Internet speed, Belarus overtook Kosovo, Moldova, the Isle of Man, Cyprus, the Faroe Islands, Montenegro, Israel, Macedonia, Ukraine, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Turkey and Armenia.

Latvia ranks 16th, Lithuania — 21st, Poland — 28th, Russia — 54th,and Ukraine — 81st.

The fastest Internet is in Taiwan, followed by Singapore and the British island of Jersey. The last place in the ranking was occupied by Yemen.
