The official notes that in July fuel supplies coming by rail from Homiel increased, reports the CFTS.
“Diesel fuel is loaded from the pipe into tanks and shipped to Ukraine,” he explained.
Also, he says, the Mazyr refinery is postponing its repairs from September to October and increases the supply of diesel to Ukrainian buyers in August and September by about 25%. Previously, they used to amount to about 180 thousand tons per month, but now they will amount to 250-260 thousand tons.
In addition, supplies from Lithuania and other EU countries are increasing. Production at Ukrainian refineries is also growing.
Andriy Herus stressed that due to the fact that significant increase is not to be expected from the Ukrainian producers, the main emphasis will be on the diversification of sources at the expense of Belarus and the EU countries. Diesel fuel will be supplied by rail.
In June, Russia reduced the supply of diesel fuel to Ukraine by 75%. In August, Russian diesel supplies may decline from 45% to 25% of the total market.
