The Council of Ministers is taking measures to prevent and spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Belarus. The corresponding resolution was adopted on March 25, state-run news agency BelTA reports.
According to the document, people who arrive in Belarus from the countries where coronavirus cases were reported should observe 14-day self-care at home. They will not be allowed to leave Belarus until the self-isolation period is over.
Exceptions will be made for:
86 novel coronavirus cases were officially confirmed in the country, Belarusian Health Minister Uladzimir Karanik said on Wednesday. As before, the Health Ministry is refraining from recommendations to impose quarantine measures on educational institutions due to ‘inexpedience’.
