Belarus--EU agreement depends on BelNPP solution

The European Union will be ready to sign a new document on relations with Belarus only in case of agreement on BelNPP, Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Johannes Hahn said at a meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament on November 7.

The main topic of the meeting was the enlargement of the European Union, but the MEPs asked Mr Hahn about the relations with Belarus, writes DW.

“Our goal is to finally complete the work on the “Partnership Priorities”. In this case, the result depends on whether we find a solution for the nuclear power plant in Astravets,” said the Commissioner.
