The residents of the Park of High Technologies received a letter with information about the establishment of the “information technology squadron,” dev.by reports.
“In accordance with the decision of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, the Information Technology Squadron (hereinafter ITS) was established in the educational institution” Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus “. The picking of the squadron will be done by persons who have higher education in IT field starting from November 2018,” the document says.
In February this year, Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei, in an interview with the Russian newspaper Izvestia, announced his intention to build an IT country by order of Lukashenka:
