Belarus comes last in regional cybersecurity rating


Belarus has ranked 69th in the Global Cybersecurity Index 2018 cybersecurity rating compiled by experts of the International Telecommunication Union. In last year’s ranking, our country ranked 39th.

Of the neighboring countries, Lithuania ranked 4th, Russia — 26th, Poland — 29th, and Latvia — 44th. Ukraine is on the 54th place. Also, our country was overtaken by such CIS members as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.

In total, the list includes 175 countries. The top three include the United Kingdom, United States, and France.

According to the rating, at the end of 2018, 51.2% of the world’s population used the Internet.
