Another communist holiday to be celebrated in Belarus


Prime Minister Syarhei Rumas has signed a decree creating an committee for the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Leninist Communist Youth Union of Belarus.

Education Minister Ihar Karpenka was appointed chairman of the organizing committee, first deputy secretary of the Central Committee of the Public Association “Belarusian Republican Youth Union” Dzmitry Varanyuk was appointed his deputy.

The organizing committee is tasked to develop and approve an action plan by May 1 of the next year.

If necessary, in accordance with the established procedure, the organizing committee may involve in its work leaders and specialists of republican bodies of state administration and other state organizations subordinated to the government, regional executive committees, the Minsk City Executive Committee and other organizations.

At the same time, the state does not take part in the celebration of national holidays and important dates in the history of our country.
