Alyaksandr Lukashenka had coronavirus

The head of state learned about it yesterday, on July 27, Pool of the First reports.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka had recovered from coronavirus. He said this at a meeting in the special forces unit.

“I apologize for my voice. I had to talk a lot lately. But, most surprisingly, today you are meeting with a man who managed to recover from the coronavirus. That’s the conclusion the doctors made yesterday,” he said.

Lukashenka said that he had had no symptoms. Just like 97% of the population, he said.

The Kremlin responded quickly to the news about Lukashenka’s diagnosis. Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said they didn’t know about it. He stressed that the Russian president is in good health.

Earlier Lukashenka denied the existence of COVID-19 and called the disease “psychosis”. Belarus has become the only country in Europe, where no quarantine measures have been taken.

On July 28, according to official data, 67,366 COVID 19 patients were registered in Belarus.
