On October 16, the Belarusian Health Ministry updated information on the coronavirus situation in the country.
To date, Belarusian health professionals have registered 86,392 persons infected with the novel coronavirus; 658 new cases have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, 5 COVID-19 deaths have been reported.
“For the entire period of the spread of the infection in the country, 921 patients who were previously tested positive for the coronavirus have died; they had chronic and co-existing illnesses,” the statement reads.
78,990 patients who were diagnosed with COVID-19 have already recovered. By the moment, 2,170,047 tests for detecting the virus have been conducted in Belarus.
