Tsikhanouskaya urged the head of Ryanair to publicly support the demands of the Belarusians to continue investigating the incident with the forced landing of the plane in Minsk.

They also discussed the indictment filed in the U.S. against two KGB officers and two Belaeronavigatsia employees who were charged with conspiracy to commit an act of air piracy. O’Leary agreed that the detained Pratasevich and Sapega should be released like all political prisoners.

As a farewell, the head of Ryanair expressed his support for the Belarusians and said he would like to launch flights of the airline in the new Belarus.

This week, Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya has also sent a letter to the president of the Council of ICAO, where she urged it to do the following:

– add to the ICAO report information that the regime deliberately tried to conceal evidence, including the testimony provided to Polish authorities by Aleg Halegau;

– forward the report to the president of the UN Security Council to launch an investigation into the case since the hijacking of the plane was a threat to international peace and security.

Tsikhanouskaya also contacted the delegations of countries on the ICAO Council, including Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and others. The consultations are needed so that at the January 31 ICAO Council discussion, they would advocate report to the UN Security Council president.
