Belarusian Olympians in Beijing allowed to talk only to 'right' media

According to Match TV, members of the Belarusian delegation at the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing are allowed to talk only with representatives of the media, accredited by the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus.

Earlier, in a commentary to Belsat, Tribuna.com editor-in-chief Aleg Harunovich spoke about a possible repetition of events similar to the attempt of Belarusian sports officials to expel runner Krystsina Tsimanouskaya, who criticized them in social feeds:

“Although there will be fewer athletes at the Winter Games than at the Summer Games, observers from the regime have already gained some experience, and so the likelihood of something unexpected, another black swan, in my opinion, will decrease, though…”

According to the expert, “the most unkillable team are the freestylists. And what these freestylists will think about in case of any success or something else is unknown.”

“Perhaps, Huskova from the podium will say hello to Kazeka. The officials will have another paralysis of the cognitive system, and they will try to put the athlete in the luggage and send her to Minsk. It’s unlikely that there will be at least one person in Belarus right now who will bet his apartment that such an incident will not happen in Beijing,” Aleg Harunovich believes.
