Prosecutor’s Office of Partyzanski district of Minsk has sent to court the criminal case against a 28-year-old resident of the capital, accused of hooliganism and desecration of historical and cultural values, the General Prosecutor’s Office reports.

The woman is guilty of “demonstratively sitting on the marble slab near the Victory Monument in Minsk in August 2020,” which was set on the memorial site with the Eternal Flame and the obelisk, “then she began to dance on one of the elements of the monument and run around.”

The prosecutor’s office decided that it was an excellent case to qualify it under part 2 of article 346 and part 1 of article 339 of the Criminal Code.

The woman could face up to three years in prison for dancing and sitting on the slab.
