Ten days after the last detention, the employees of “Nasha Niva” were charged in a criminal case.

Yahor Martsinovich, editor-in-chief, and Andrei Skurko, head of the advertising and marketing department, were not released.

Consequently, they were charged under part 2 of article 216 of the Criminal Code (“infliction of property damage without signs of embezzlement by a group of persons”).

The prosecution claims that the payment for the public utilities was made according to the rates for physical persons. At the same time, it was necessary to pay according to the rates for legal entities. Investigators calculated that over four years, the company “Minenergo” lost 3.5 thousand rubles. The company itself never filed a claim.
