The Hinzpeter Awards is a South Korean film festival. It was named after German journalist Jurgen Hinzpeter, who reported on events during the fall of the authoritarian regime in South Korea. The German journalist was the only one who could document the torture Koreans went through at the time. There is a commemorative plaque in his honor in Seoul.
