The telegram channel ‘Rabochy Rukh’ has reported about the detention and extradition of the former legal adviser of JSC Naftan Alyaksandr Kapshul.

The strike committee member was detained by Russian border guards, but no one explained the reasons for the detention. After that, Alyaksandr was urgently handed over to the KGB of Belarus, which secretly took him to Minsk from the border crossing on the Russian-Ukrainian border, “Troyebortnoye.” According to the telegram channel, he is now in the KGB pre-detention center. His leg is broken and his arm is injured.

Alyaksandr Kapshul joined the nationwide strike last December.

During the strike, he helped other strikers in courts, after which Alyaksandr was detained.

In early July, activists of the independent trade union of Naftan workers were searched in Navapolatsk. Then the law enforcers came to the lawyer of the trade union Alyaksandr Kapshul, the deputy chairman of the primary organization Yury Hashau, the deputy chairman Dzyanis Hurski and the secretary Dzmitry Kayro.

The searches took place within the framework of the criminal case about the damage of paint coating of the car owned by Syarhei Brykun – deputy director for the ideology of the Palimir plant. The incident took place in October of 2020.
