Cyclists detained at Minsk triathlon event

The reasons for detention are unknown, as well as the total number of detainees.

On the morning of June 26, Minsk held a triathlon event: swimming, running, and cycling. Masherau and Peramozhtsau avenues were blocked for the race.

For an unknown reason, some cyclists were detained by law enforcement officers. One of the videos shows a policeman knocking a man on his bike to the ground. The wife of one of the detainees told TUT.by that her husband hadn’t been previously detained in connection with the protests, but she assumed that the man might have had a white-red-white wristband on his hand.

Update: Telegram-channel of Minsk police stated that the three detained men “were demonstratively shouting protest slogans.” No ырщгештп can be heard шn the video made by witnesses.
