Convicts in the 'student case' labeled prone to extremism

All defendants in the case were issued a document that they are registered as “persons prone to extremism and other destructive acts,” said the association of Belarusian students.

This status means they will be subject to a tougher attitude in places of detention, more frequent cell checks, handcuffing during all movements outside the cell.

The persons “prone to extremism” cannot count on parole and reduced sentences.
