Chairman of Belarusian Social Democratic Party Barysau jailed


Chairman of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party Ihar Barysau has been sentenced to 15 days in jail for disobedience to law enforcement officers. The politician was detained on March 21 and kept on Akrestsin, reports Alena Barysava in her Facebook.

Chairman of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party Ihar Barysau was detained the other day.

Unknown masked men dragged the leader of Social Democrats out of the car, in which he was traveling with his wife and child.

During the detention Ihar Barysou did not resist. But he was taken to the jail.

Only the next day his relatives found out that Barysau will be tried. He was charged with disobedience to an official and will be tried under administrative Article 24.3 (previously 23.4).

Judge Mikhail Makarevich found Ihar Barysau guilty of disobedience and arrested him for 15 days.

The Belarusian Social Democratic Party applied for the official approval of the Freedom Day celebration.
