Andrzej Duda noted that Zelensky is asking for more help from NATO. The Polish president considers using Syrian mercenaries a demonstration of the Russian army’s weakness. In addition, the politician said that the Syrians’ participation was an “interesting signal” for Turkey.

On March 11, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted in a report on the situation in Ukraine: about 16 thousand volunteers from Syria and the Middle East are ready to join the Russian army in this war.
