“Belarus allows Russia to use its territory for military action, so we should talk about sanctions against the Belarusian regime,” said the head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

According to him, the decision to leave Russian troops in the Belarusian territory after the exercises is “a very slow occupation of the territory and the state of Belarus.”

The Lithuanian minister believes Ukraine has already been attacked without the invasion of the Russian armed forces, so the European Union should begin to discuss sanctions against Moscow and Minsk for this, “without waiting for a military attack.”
