The messages said that the referendum was postponed to April 10 because of the coronavirus.

“The Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus for Elections and National Referendums informs that these messages are fake,” the CEC said.

A referendum on the amendments to the Constitution will be held, as previously announced by the CEC, on February 27. Polling stations will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Early voting will start on February 22.
