About 3 am Ukrainian border guards saw a column of heavy-duty trucks, cars and minibuses approaching the border with Ukraine from Russia’s side. At 3.40 am the column started to cross the border, and the guards had to open fire.
The intruders started to shoot back; some militants remained to cover the column. Several trucks managed to battle their way to the road to the city of Antratsit. One of the militants is severely injured, The Ukrainian border officers seized a minibus and some cars; AK assault rifles, rocket propelled grenades and explosives were found there.
According to Ukraine’s border service, there are some 40 heavy-duty trucks KamAZ and militants ready to crash the border on the Russian side.
